WCG Asian Championship 2008
The 2008 WCG Asian Championship last August 7-10 in Suntec City, Singapore has brought pride in the Philippines. The games in which our country has participants are FIFA 08, DOTA All-Stars, Need for Speed Prostreet, Virtua Fighter 5 and of course, Guitar Hero 3. Most of our participants made it to the semis. But only one of them made it to the finals.
The 18-year old silver medalist Luis Benesa admitted that he was really nervous during his final match with the New Zealander, Mason Maddox. The game was extremely breathtaking and everyone was thrilled while witnessing the remarkable match for the throne. Both players have morally excellent skills and moral attitudes. Previous to that was the match with Korea at the quarter finals. The game has 3 rounds and Benesa lost the second round, but he won the first and the third that made him qualify for the final match.
The over-all champion went to New Zealand. Benesa said that they deserve it because they were all playing fair and were good sports. |
